Full Scale Ecommerce, Light Ecommerce, Order Placement Procedures

How many different kinds of E-Commerce are there? Quite frankly, the Internetbias philosophy on E-Commerce is: If you have a web site, you are promoting and selling your company or services, therefore you are conducting E-Commerce.

However, at Internetbias we do give you the abilities to participate in the classic meaning of E-Commerce using tools that we can provide to you. You can participate in Full Scale E-Commerce, Light E-Commerce, or Order Placement Procedures.

Full Scale Ecommerce

This includes secure connections to your hosting server and order placement of your products or services. Submittal of credit card information, and payment processing. Credit card numbers are not housed by you or your host. Invoicing and credit reference numbering. Charge-back features for returned or canceled orders. And administration functions for checking all orders and requests. (Top)

Light Ecommerce

This includes secure connections to your hosting server and order placement of your products and services, Credit card numbers are temporarily stored on your host's server until you remove them for transactional purposes. And an administration function for checking orders and requests. This method is typically used by an individual or company who already have a credit card processing system in place at a retail or other location, making full online processing often uneconomical. Order Placement Procedures

This method is typically used when first contact is originally being made. This process allows you and the visitor to interact before your prospective customer commits to a purchase. This method is also commonly used when all transactions take place off-line and typically in person. (Top)
