Branding

Brand: n. A trademark or distinctive name identifying a product or a manufacturer.

Is branding your company's identity and ethics simply a marketing ploy? Or are you in the business of making customers for life? It's easy to gain additional clients using clever gimmicks and advertising copy. The trick is in making your company, products and services the first solution or thought of your existing clients, when ever the opportunely arises.

Nike, Marlboro, and Coca-Cola have all successfully branded their merchandise. Consumers do not have to be sitting in front of the product in order to know what it looks like, or even what it is. The logos and identity of these products and their manufacturers have been so well branded into the consumer, that it is natural for them to associate each product with a daily activity, or a specific memory.

Companies spend millions of dollars each year on this one aspect of marketing. Often times new products are created for the sole purpose of generating interest, and eventually additional revenue, for the company or another established product.

Internetbias would like to present a branding solution for the medium to large scale business, without a million dollar price tag. Have Internetbias put your corporate identity and logo structure in some of the Internet and web based tools most widely used today. (Top)

Web Browsers

Netscape Navigator 7 and Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6. These tools are already well established in the Internet community, in fact they are the defacto standards for displaying web content. Replace the existing Microsoft and Netscape branding efforts with your own.

Both of these tools can be customized to include your company imaging. Add your company name and tag line to the top of the browser. Include your favorite, professional, or personal links. Replace the standard and default functions, with elements of your own design.

Media Players

Real Networks Media Player, and Microsoft Windows Media Player. The Real Networks Media Player comes distributed with the Netscape Browser, and is also a downloadable program from the Real Networks website. Windows Media Player comes packaged with all of the Microsoft Windows operating systems, and is available for independent download from the Microsoft website.

Both Media Players have options for displaying 'skins' - a function which allows a new theme oriented user interface. Users can design and distribute their own skins, or download pre-existing skins from independent sites on the Internet.

Using these two media tools to brand your corporate identity is a high profile option. Users choose new skins on a frequent basis. Skins have been created in the past to promote movies, music videos and artists, television shows, and clubs. Some of the companies that have done extremely well with Media Player skinning are TDK, Sony Pictures, and Microsoft.
